Dream Together
This mural was completed for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Columbus. It was painted as a community mural. The mural was designed with flat color with no blending to enable the community to participate in its execution. The image was designed to give hope to the youth of this area. The mural consists of a boy and a girl both looking towards their futures and dreams. The mural’s purpose is to bring life and optimism into an area of Columbus that needed revitalization.

Project Timeline
The mural project begins with a one-week consultation to gather input from the community and stakeholders, ensuring their voices shape the vision. Over the next two weeks, the mural is designed with this input in mind, creating a meaningful and collaborative concept. Following the design phase, a week is dedicated to arranging logistics, securing supplies, and organizing necessary equipment such as lifts. Once preparations are complete, the mural is drawn onto the wall in two days. Finally, the mural is brought to life over five days with the active involvement of the community.

Community Involvement
The mural was designed with flat color and no blending to enable the community to participate in its execution. A paint-by-number approach was utilized to accomplish this. Many different groups from the community assisted in painting the mural including children from local public schools, prison inmates (who were part of a rehabilitation program), Harmony Project volunteers and community leaders. The local community, the Boys and Girls Club and the Harmony Project were all stakeholders in providing input for the design of the mural.
