Dream Believe Achieve
In partnership with the Columbus Ohio Leadership Authority (COLA) I designed and painted this community mural for Northland High School in Columbus, Ohio. COLA chose a high school leader from their program to work with me to gather feedback from the school and community for the subject of the mural. We held focus groups and community events to gather needed input. Then, held a community-painting event during the weekend to invite the community and students to participate in painting the mural. I finished up the mural adding details and enhancements to ensure the mural was brought to a professional standard of completion. Community Involvement: The mural was designed with flat color and no blending to enable the community, high school students and COLA leaders to paint it. The high school students, teachers, staff and alumni all had input into the message and subject of the mural. Community involvement of the painting spanned over the course of 2 days. 3 additional days were given for Jeremy Jarvis to complete the work.

Project Timeline
The mural project began with a 2-day focus group involving community members, high school stakeholders, and COLA to gather input for the design. Over the next two weeks, the mural design was created, incorporating this feedback. Logistics and supplies were arranged in a week, followed by a day spent sketching the mural onto the wall. Community involvement was key during the 2-day painting phase, after which Jeremy Jarvis completed the mural in three days.

COLA had chosen an exceptional high school leader in their program to facilitate and initiate the mural. We were hired to conduct focus groups, design, paint and manage the painting of the mural.
