A LEGACY OF PIONEERS

This mural was designed and painted for the Northland Community & Technical College in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. The mural was painted in a studio space in Columbus, Ohio. The finished painting on canvas was then rolled up and transported to Minnesota. It was then installed onto a wall in the college. Jeremy was selected to complete this mural after a nationwide search for an artist. Once selected as a finalist, Jeremy created this design and it emerged the winning design in the competition. This mural is a visual journey through time—a tear in the fabric of history that allows us to see how the past informs the present, and how the present dares to imagine the future. Through the rift in time, we glimpse what he sees: the future rising from the plains of possibility. This mural reminds us that to be a Pioneer is not just to look back with pride, but to look ahead with vision. It is to stand on the shoulders of those who came before, and to build ladders for those yet to come.
